The greatest gift is the passion for reading.
It is cheap, it consoles, it distracts, it excites.
It gives you knowledge of the world and experience
of a wide kind. It is a moral illumination.

Buy Your Books From Here
Each of the reading books listed on the right are linked to the Barnes and Noble on-line bookstore. If you go through the links on our website to buy any of these books for your child or grandchild, the Foundation receives a commission on your purchase. This includes books and gift cards you purchase for yourself or your book club. We will use the money earned to help further pursue our mission. Just remember to come to our website first when you are thinking of buying a book... and remember you can set a good example for your child by spending some time reading yourself!

The fire of literacy is created by the emotional sparks       between a child, a book, and the person reading.
It isn't achieved by the book alone, nor by the
child alone, nor by the adult who's reading aloud.
It's the relationship winding between all three,
bringing them together in easy harmony.
